The Story of a Photographer
Hi, I’m Jessica. When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me at my boutique in downtown Montevideo. My love for photography began many years ago, when I shot portraits for family and friends with any camera I could get my hands on. My entire adult life before the boutique was spent in journalism. When I left that world and opened a boutique, I worked hard to establish that business as a place to provide a beautiful and relaxing experience. Once my boutique was well established, and my three kids were a little bit grown, I decided it was time, and I enrolled in the Photography program at Southern New Hampshire University in order to learn every single thing there is to know about the art of photography. Now I have a cozy little studio in the back of my boutique building, and graduated the Digital Photography Associate of Arts program with High Honors.
My style of photography leans towards light & airy. I love natural poses, and capturing real emotions. My goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of people. The time I spend looking through the camera at the beauty of each human face that I find here is what inspires my creativity in every aspect of my life. My desire is to work with you to create a picture of your favorite story - whatever that may be.
